Zola the Stripper's Story Is Partially Fabricated, Jessica Says

August 2024 · 2 minute read

A stripper named Zola recapped her eventful — to say the least — Tuesday evening via 150 tweets that went viral on Twitter on Wednesday, Oct. 28, and now, her counterpart in the 48-hour story, Jessica, is calling B.S.

According to Zola, whose real name is Aziah King, she journeyed to Florida on Tuesday with “a white bitch” named Jessica, whom she met at Hooters, to make money stripping. Their evening, however, after “vibing over our hoeism,” ended in prostitution, a “pimp” allegedly being shot in the face by another pimp, one man’s attempted suicide, kidnapping, child sex trafficking, murder, and a life-long jail sentence. (Click here to read Zola’s entire 150 tweets via Storify, because trying to recap her story wouldn’t do it justice.)

Jessica, however, tells TMZ that’s not exactly what went down.

The now engaged and pregnant woman claims that Zola was the one who opted for prostition and that no one got killed. She does, however, admit to the stripping part of the story.

Per TMZ, Jessica, who is already a parent to one kid, is upset about Zola sharing photos of her and she’s contemplating suing her.

Fabricated or not, Zola’s story caught the attention of some of Hollywood’s major players. Selma director Ava DuVernay tweeted: “In India reading #Zola. Drama, humor, action, suspense, character development. She can write! There's so much untapped talent in the hood. x”

Zola’s story, given it includes murder, presents some issues when it comes to the police, though, and has since been deleted from her Twitter account.
