Mark Ballas and his wife BC Jean are the parents of one son. Ballas announced on Instagram on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 that he and his wife welcomed their first baby.  He wrote, “Welcome to Earth my son.”

He also included the date, November 5 and the name of their kid, “Banksi Wylde Ballas” in the post. He was holding Jean’s hand in the picture and Banksi’s hand was holding Jean’s thumb.

Jean shared the same image. She captioned her post, “Banksi Wylde Ballas Joined us earthside 11•5•23, Happy one month sweet boy. You are so loved.”

In June, the couple announced their expanding family on Instagram. They captioned a Reel, “Life Lately” which showed recent adventures from beach days to a Disneyland trip, ending with their biggest project to date. The real reads:

Jean hails from a musical family. Her father played the trumpet as well. Jean shared how early in life she fell in love with music. She said:

“When I was five or six I would write poems. I would hide in my closet at night and write my emotions and cry and be romantic and then my poems became songs. When I was 13 I started writing actual songs and that turned into me wanting to sing and then I started taking voice lessons. I did piano lessons too when I was very young.”

Jean is not just a gifted guitarist but also a remarkable lyricist; she wrote “If I Were A Boy” specifically for Beyoncé. Jean said that she wrote the song after a split in her personal life. Originally, she intended to record the song alone, but after hearing the tape, Beyoncé requested to include it on her album.
