The ability to mount Pokémon and ride them around is critical for navigating Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ semi-open world. You’ll start with a ground mount only a few hours in, and then you’ll eventually be able to ride on water with a different Pokémon. But what about flight? You’ll eventually unlock Hisuian Braviary as your flying companion, and be able to glide with them to hard-to-reach spots.
In this Pokémon Legends: Arceus guide, we’ll tell you when and how you’ll meet Hisuian Braviary.
All of the various Pokémon mounts — there are five total — in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are story-related quests. You cannot miss them, but you also can’t go out of your way to get them early. Unfortunately, Hisuian Braviary is the final Pokémon mount you’ll unlock in your journey through the Hisui region.
You’ll first meet Hisuian Braviary in the Alabaster Icelands — the final of the game’s five regions — as it’s carrying around Sabi, a character you’ll follow through the tundra. Once Sabi invites you to Snowpoint Temple as part of the “The Slumber Lord of the Tundra” mission, head up the mountain and complete the trial puzzle there. When you finish the temple, Sabi will be waiting for you and teach you how to summon Hisuian Braviary.
While you’ll need to play for several hours to unlock Hisuian Braviary, there’s still plenty of game after you unlock flying.
