Kent Pekel, the administrator of Century High School, emailed to inform parents and students about the devastating incident. In the email, Pekel expressed his condolences and acknowledged the heartbreaking loss, and stated,

“We received the heartbreaking news earlier this evening that one of our students from Century High School lost their life in a car accident this afternoon. In light of this tragic event, we briefly considered postponing the homecoming dance scheduled for this evening. However, given the timing of the news, we decided that postponing the dance was not a viable option.”

Jessica Tukua released his death news through the Facebook post stated that:

“Our hearts are weighed down with grief. D was an amazing young man who was a cherished son, brother, cousin, and friend to many. He was also a loving and fun uncle to our girls. His infectious energy and radiant smile were constants in our lives. It’s incredibly difficult to accept that Davin, at just 16 years old, is no longer with us. You have our everlasting love and affection, dear friend. Forever and always.” 

The untimely loss of Davin has left the community and his loved ones in deep sorrow and shock. Thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and the entire community during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements for Davin have not been announced yet.
