On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at about 8:38 p.m., officers went to the Yuma Regional Medical Center in response to reports of two people who had been shot.
The two victims, a 35-year-old woman and a 34-year-old male were found shot inside a parked car after a shooting at the area of the 2400 Block of Yowell Court, according to police.
Officer Christina Fernandez, a spokeswoman for the Yuma Police Department, stated that the male was treated and later discharged while the woman was declared dead at the hospital. The name of the dead woman is “Alexis Rodriguez”.

Who Arrested in Connection of Alexis Rodriguez’s Death?
Alexander Delcid is accused on two charges of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Alexis Rodriguez who was around two months pregnant at the time.
On September 16 at 4:37 a.m., Delcid was apprehended and charged with two charges of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
According to Franklin, killing a pregnant woman in Arizona can result in a double homicide prosecution. Franklin, who did not go into additional detail regarding the inquiry claimed that the shooting was not random.
